Benzorella is my alter ego. Don't tell anyone. Stuck and pasted all over Malta and beyond.

Problem

My day job is screens, systems and sign-off. Benzorella is the opposite: paper, glue and a wall that will not wait.

I wanted a reason to go out that was not a party. So I put my headphones on, got myself all glued up and went. Nobody asked for her. That is the point.

Craft

  1. Paper, glue, a wall

    Headphones on, paste bucket ready, out the door. Stickers and wheatpastes on bars, traffic signs and walls across Malta and beyond. Niagara, skylines, alleys that are not mine. She still finds a surface. When someone scratches her off, I put another one up.

  2. Lines she lives by

    Big dreams, vague plans. Normalize being a troublemaker. Have faith in your own bad taste. The face travels with the lines, as stickers, paste-ups and, once, as a tattoo.

In 2023 she was selected for the CHEAP Street Poster Art Festival in Bologna. In 2024 BPM Magazine and Vibe FM ran Unmasking Benzorella. People see her and want to know who she is. Spoiler: me. Quietly.
